Intensive Outpatient Programs

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a treatment program option that allows you live in your own home and attend treatment at a local center. An IOP provides flexible daytime or evening scheduling, typically four days a week, 3-4 hours at a time. This form of treatment provides the critical clinical, emotional and peer support systems necessary for recovery, without having to leave work or home for an extended period of time.

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is similar to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), in that you still live at home while receiving treatment, though more of a time commitment is involved. A PHP is a structured program of services that provides an alternative to inpatient care, and treatment may be as frequent as seven days a week.
